Unknown distance -

I put on a 49x16 gear for this race. It was way too big and I couldn't get it started. I tried with a break but that couldn't raise my legs that early. I had to give everything to stay with the group. I finished last of those who didn't drop out.

Miss and out-
I put my gears to 47x16. My legs still hurt from the unknown distance. I couldn't do much and just tried to stay up front but then got caught and fell off the back. I came in 14th.

40 lap scratch -

I kept the 47x16 because it is the right gear for me if I have good legs. I didn't have good legs. I tried to race smart but still tried a break to keep the pace up. I decided to go after Pete pulled up and he did that before turn 3. When I went to do my jump my left foot became unclipped. Since I was standing it came down on the track causing my bike to jump up. I then had to finish the turns and tried to get down into the apron before turns 1 & 2. I got down and tried to ride on the infield but couldn't slow down enough with just my right leg. I lost control when my back tire came off of that boarding sourrounding the infield. I then just went down on my stomach and treated it as a headfirst slide. I pulled up like I would going into third and grabbed my bike and started off again. I didn't know my seat was messed up. So I took the free lap. I didn't think about the free lap since I didn't know about it. I just thought I have to get back in the race. Thats the way I was taught. If you get knocked down get up before you hit the ground and get back into the play. So I get the free lap and then have one lap before the pizza prime. I was in the back and didn't see anyone go for it. So I got to start it up again and took second. Then I just rolled around and tried not to puke.

On the way home -

I pulled over and puked twice.

Capital Champisonship Classic

Joe led me out for the ninja prime. I liked the hairpin turn as I have been practicing it for a long time. I did not practice the accelerations after the turn as much as I needed to though. The ninja prime burned a lot of my matches but I was able to hang in the pack with out much trouble. When the bell rang I was in about 20th position. I made my way up to about 7th in the flat before the hairpin then got pushed pack in the flat before the hill. I then sprinted past every body to come in 10th. I liked that sprint because my back tire started to spin out.

10 lap scratch -
I got boxed in at the end and had to settle for 7th. I felt strong but couldn't get into good position.

Miss and out-
I touched wheels with another rider and he broke a lot of spokes. I continued to ride around but he dropped out. My teammate Dan withdrew from the race so I could advance 2 more places, very noble. 8th?

40 lap scratch-
Raced this one good. Need for a bigger gear was obvious at final sprint.

First ACC Ride

Benjy and I went out for the inaugural ride on Sunday May 29th. We went around the lake in wayzetta. I dialed in my seat and gained confidence of riding on the new setup.

OPUS 2

Crashed on 3rd lap. Felt strong got taken out by Colton.

Need new front training wheel.
New handle bar tape.
New right hood.
New Handle bar.
New shorts.
New Gloves.

Hurt a lot.

Got dropped first lap. Decided I didn't want to ride around by myself for 3 more laps. I rode one more lap just to justify driving out there and packed it in.

Opus 1

rode hard getting to opus. Filled with lactic acid. Got first ninja prime of the season. Fell off the back to get photo opportunity's. Placed 27 out of 34. Could have done way better but burned matches getting to opus.

was not a race this year.
Due to extreme temperatures the race was canceled for the majority of the field. only the elite 200 men and 50 women where timed. the waves became and open track format. This means that the wave placement for this year will still be the same for next year. Meaning I'm wave three again. It was my second birkie but hardest. The race was shortened to 25K from telemark to OO with a 2K loop. I beat the girls but not Denny.

Mora Vasaloppet.
Due to warm temperatures the race was held on Knife lake. The race was shortened to 30Km and comprised of two 15 Km laps.
I had on two layers Dakine Nitris Cold Wax and one layer of Swix Ch. 6. I also used ultra blue for kick wax.
The rossi's held up nicely.

New Racing Site

This is the start of the Whiterabbit Racing blog. I think it will be better to have a separate bare bones place to keep my race results and such. The main blog will be used for the normal bitching about being cut off and such. This one will be more for technical details and results and less for my emotions.
